Archives are important in Switzerland....

....even though our little village only has 700 residents, we have our own archives.

The glass table folds down and.....

...hold everything in place so we do not get blurry pictures.

After everything is positioned correctly....

....we use a foot pedal to actuate the camera lens.

If there is anything wrong with the picture, damaged, blank page, missing, etc....

....we have to note it with a little preprinted card.

Many of these books, (being between 300 and 700 years old)...

.....aren't in the best physical condition, like this one.
