This is a picture of Eld. Asay (Preston)....

....with our Mission President and his wife, Pres/Sis Murdock.  We were very good friends
with Eld. Asay's parents, Bob & Helen Asay in Richardson, Texas back in 1986.
Eld. Asay is now serving in the France, Lyon Mission.  (Our mission)

This is the Castle of Gruyere.....

....in it's very beautiful location.

These 80 pound wheels of cheese.....

....are made by the Gruyere Cheese factory.  There is a robot that turns these cheese wheels
over and coats them with a salt water solution up to once a day.

Cailler Chocolate factory in Broc, Switzerland...

.....offers a great tour of the history of chocolate making.
Factory is owned by Nestles Co.

The last room of the Chocolate factory tour....

....is a huge room full of all kinds of chocolate samples and you
can stay in there as long as you want and sample everything.

A tram ride powered not by electricity....

....or any other type of fuel.  It is an energy free ride.  (Very clever Swiss technology.)

Looking down from the top.....

.....this Funiculaire uses ZERO energy.

Our driver, decides how much waste water.....

....to add to the top car, so that gravity will pull the other car up
while pulling us down.  He also takes into consideration the number of passengers.

When our car reaches the bottom....

.....it will discharge up to 800 gallons of waste water.

On our way down, we pass....

....a similar car coming up.

This was the bottom....

....looking up to where we came from.

Great scenery and.....

...wide open spaces.

Friendly ponies....

.....to pet and feed.

Going into the woods....

....lots of interesting things to see in these woods.

A great walk in the mountains....

....the the Rigaud family.  (Brooke is taking the picture.)

A local farm house....

...with lots of cow bells for decorations.

A close up of the cow bells....

Here we are heading to the firing range.....

....to shoot in the world's largest shooting festival.  About 200,000
Swiss citizens shoot in this event annually.

For the first 6 shots, you have a minute each....

.....after all 60 shooters are finished, young kids come out from protection and signal to the score keepers where your shot went.  After the first 6 shots, they then give you 60 seconds to fire 3 shots, and do that twice.  After each minute the kids then again signal the score keepers where your shots went.

The last 6 shots have to be fired....

....in 60 seconds.

Your target is 1000 feet away....

....and it's about 18 inches square.

Even though its only 18 shots....

.....it is a little exhausting.

I put the pressure on Marco this year....

.....he was having a bad shooting day.
