The glass table folds down and.....

...hold everything in place so we do not get blurry pictures.

After everything is positioned correctly....

....we use a foot pedal to actuate the camera lens.

If there is anything wrong with the picture, damaged, blank page, missing, etc....

....we have to note it with a little preprinted card.

Many of these books, (being between 300 and 700 years old)...

.....aren't in the best physical condition, like this one.

The piece of wood that the flowers/trees are attached to....

....is actually a one legged seat that is strapped to the farmer when he milks the cows.

Even goats are included "when the cows come home"...

....they too live up in the Alps all summer.

Even horses are included "when the cows come home"....

....this horse has a little chicken coop on his back.

This is one heavy bell....

....and some of these cows walk over 25 miles to get home.

....we saw 1, 2 and 4 man crews.

Beautiful flowers adorne most Swiss windows...

....but I also learned this week that geranimums also keep mosquitoes away.  This pictures was taken in Bulle, Switzerland on our shopping day.

Fall is a special time....

....here in Switzerland.

Cows with flower trees....

....on their heads showing their return to the villages.

This is quite a celebration in Switzerland...

.....and it seemed like the cows enjoyed it as well.

Each cow had a bell around it's neck....

.....most of them were this big and were very noisy.

Our harvest from our "balcon garden"....

....this would make slim pickings for a Thanksgiving meal.  (Tomato, radish, zucchini)
